The Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873 and its Ladies Auxiliary offer a variety of opportunities for members and their families to come together to enjoy each other's company. The common bond shared by all of members is strong link which provides a sense of acceptance you will feel upon your first visit. All members are encouraged to participate in both our social and service events.

The Canteen Open 7 days a week and accessible only to members and guests, the canteen is a popular place for members to relax and visit with friends. Indeed, with 5 TV's in the Canteen, this is the best spot in town to follow your favorite sport whether it is football, basketball, baseball, soccer, golf or NACAR racing. Our covered patio overlooking Naperville's Riverwalk is an excellent place to spend a peaceful summer hour.

Super Bowl Party With our five TV's in the canteen and additional big screen TV's on both floors (the second floor is non smoking), this is the best place in town to watch the Super Bowl. With snacks throughout the game and a buffet at half time, you will win no matter how the game ends. A non-smoking section upstairs ensures comfort for all.

Dinner for Installation of New Officers Members and spouses celebrate the installation of new officers with a nominal charge dinner each spring.

Golf Outing The annual golf outing is held at Fox Bend Golf Course in Oswego. One low price covers green fees, cart, beverages and a steak dinner back at the post. Non-golfing spouses can come just to the dinner for a nominal charge.

4th of July Party The best place to view the city's fireworks is from our post grounds. Many members and their families gather on the patio or yard to enjoy the city's spectacular fireworks. We have a grill available for use and the canteen is open to supply your favorite beverages.

Post Picnic With hamburgers and hot dogs prepared by volunteers and a broad selection of salads, vegetables and deserts brought by many members, no one goes home hungry from this special event. With games for the children and time for the adults to establish new friendships and renew existing ones, this early fall event is a must. Come early to this event because good seating goes fast.

Army-Navy Football Game Party The usual excitement in the canteen on Saturday afternoons during college football season jumps up a few levels for this traditional rivalry. With special food and raffles of Army, Navy and Marine clothing and souvenirs, everyone is sure to have a great time.

Post Christmas Party This event is the high point of our social activities during the year. It is an evening to enjoy with hors d'oeuvres for a nominal charge and the company of fellow members and spouse. If you can attend only one social event a year, this is the one.
